  1. $Keep a log of the homes you've seen and what you liked and disliked about each one.
  2. $ When viewing a home, check all sinks, toilets, tubs and showers

  5. $ Find out which items the seller intends to take with him/her in their move.

  4. $ Avoid making any major purchases when looking for a home. This could adversely affect the amount you are able to borrow for a mortgage.
  5. $ Do not make any job or career changes while shopping for a home or during the process.
  6. Shop for homeowners insurance early in the loan process.
  7. $ Being organized will help prevent any delays in the closing of escrow.
  8. $ Pick up your keys. When all conditions are met, the loan funds and records and the transaction is officially closed.
